Difficult Conversations

This programme tackles the issue of how we talk about important, but often conflictive, issues while at the same time protecting the interpersonal relationships at stake.
Concrete tools geared towards the better management of frustrating and uncomfortable conversations are presented and practiced. Participants taking this programme often comment very positively on the usefulness of the participative methodology. The opportunity to apply concrete tools to difficult moments within communication in both the work and private spheres leads to functional skills which are held in high esteem by those applying them.
Having completed the workshop the participants will have:

  • Acquired a conceptual framework and a practical methodology for the efficient management of work related disagreements.
  • Become familiarised with, and have put into practise, resources for the productive reframing of difficult conversations. They will also have experienced forms of responding to another party’s inflexible positions while minimising the potentially destructive impact of negative emotions.
  • Fortified their individual capacities for expressing themselves clearly, concisely and efficiently while at the same time protecting the interpersonal relationships at play.
  • Developed a personalised continued development plan.
